This privacy policy supplements the general privacy policy, which you will find at slangs.net. It provides information about the specific processing of data in connection with our platform “Atelier”.

3.1 Data collected automatically
When you visit our platform, data is sent automatically from your browser to the servers of our platform. This data is collected automatically and comprises in particular:

- duration of access
- country from which access is made

- referrer URL
- operating system of the computer
We also use cookies and comparable technologies on our platform, by means of which your browser or your device can be identified. A cookie is a small file that is sent to your computer or stored automatically on your computer or mobile device by the web browser you use when you visit our platform.

We collect and process the data you send us voluntarily when you order a translation through our platform.
We process only the data that is necessary to perform the contract.
If you provide us with personal data relating to other people, you must ensure that you are entitled to do so under the applicable data protection laws.

- operation of the platform and the web shop
- security measures.
4.2 Data you send us
We process the data you send us for the following purposes:
- communicating with you
- providing our services
- training AI models in order to improve quality, unless the client has objected
- complying with statutory or regulatory requirements
- asserting legal claims and defending ourselves in connection with legal disputes and official proceedings
5. Disclosure of data to third parties
For the purposes set out in section 4 we transfer your data to our hosting provider and to freelancers in the translation field.
Where expressly agreed with you, we also transfer your data to the providers or operators of specifically agreed AI tools.
Finally, we also transfer data to the authorities where we are under a legal obligation to do so.
6. Transfer of data abroad
Where expressly agreed with you, we also transfer your data to providers or operators of specifically agreed AI tools that are hosted in the EU or the EEA.
In connection with a translation carried out by our freelancers, your data may be processed outside Switzerland, provided that statutory data protection in the recipient country concerned corresponds to the level of data protection in Switzerland.
7. Duration of processing
As a rule, data is deleted or anonymised as soon as the purpose has been fulfilled and no statutory retention obligations remain.
On our platform, translations can also be deleted by you directly.
8. Data security
We have taken technical and organisational measures, which are reviewed regularly and adapted to technical developments, to protect your data against loss, access, misuse or alteration.
Owing to the structure of the internet, however, it can happen that data is unlawfully disclosed to third parties when communicated over the internet. This lies outside our area of responsibility and, from a technical point of view, we have no influence over it. We therefore recommend that you protect the data you provide against misuse by appropriate means. In particular, use especially strong passwords and do not pass them on to third parties.

As a data subject you have the following rights in connection with the processing of your data that is relevant under data protection law:
- the right to information about which data we store about you and how we process it
- the right to have your data corrected
- the right to have your data deleted or its processing restricted
- the right to object to processing
- the right to data portability, that is, to request the release of certain data in a common format or its transfer to another controller.
